Too bad on the museum. I had no real idea about loess before a friend and
I stopped there, but when we used to go up to ENGC for Swiss matches
in the summer we often marveled at the beautiful corn along Rt 75 up
from Rt. 2. One particular year the weather had been perfect, heck the
corn was 9-10 ft tall, and the greenest and healthiest I have ever seen
before or since. When the rain is right, that is perfect conditions for corn.

Stopped at the loess museum, and learned a lot. The lady running
it was a farmer's wife, knew even more about it from years of farming
it. You can see the natural terracing that it does along the interstate,
once you know what you are looking at.

Do you do pottery or sculpture? What's the clay for?

Bill, I am a studio potter and my wife is my decorator. I do mostly do functional
pieces, some abstract work and once in awhile a sculptural piece. Has paid for
our travels since I retired for the 2nd time. We are in a co-op gallery in Omaha and
Lincoln, and a seasonal gallery in Nebraska City.
