I was reading the thread from Ian about bismuth alloy bullets and while looking at the Rotometals site I see that the 1lb bars are down to $6.99 in case anyone is interested in trying them. They were running in the $14 dollar range.

Thank you--I'll be ordering some up TODAY.

ETA--The metal on sale is NOT Ian's alloy that is CA-legal for hunting bullets. The on-sale stuff contains 31% Pb, so it's not usable for hunting here. Melt point is 203* F, too--I guess you can leave it in the sun here in August to have it pourable? :)

It's called "Lead-Free Bullet Casting Alloy", found in the bullet casting section. 87.25% Bismuth, 12% Tin, .75% Antimony. Current price is $14.65/lb.
