Looks like Brad & Khornet had a tornado & 100+ mph straight line winds to close for comfort this evening. Hope you fellas are ok & didnt sustain any damage.

I was at work at the time. We have no damage in our area. Dawn called her parents and they were fine too.
My parents were closer to the area that was hit, like within 1/2 mile.
I attached a photo of the blue spruce in their backyard. Was likely 30' tall or more.

We know some people who live in the subdivision that took the brunt of the storm. Waiting to see how they faired. Dawn reached out thru a good friend of theirs and offered whatever assistance we can provide of needed.

Scary night all around. We closed the store but I let in a couple with a 4 year old and 7 month old. Leaving people out in a storm just isn't right.

Just got word from the friend, they have major damage. Looks like a car was damaged and the house lost part of a wall and has a large hole in the roof, maybe 10' across. Gonna be 100K to fix the house I bet.

That really sucks. Once there's a hole everything in the house gets blasted, wet, loaded with fiberglass, etc.

Just had a bad one go through here 35-40000 across the city with no power, 01:15 now. Dog woke me up, I turned the TV on and I was in the middle of it, 80-90+mph wind.

Hope all is well with you and Bill. Not sure how far south this went but it was a hell of a storm over all.
I have not experienced winds like we had.

My truck and chain saw were requested today. Tells me I'm gonna be tired later.
Since this is the house of the lady who does our fitness classes I'm counting it as a workout.

We were very lucky, no damage, winds never got over 45-50 (estimated),
but torrential rain for probably half an hour. One of our friends from our
gallery was hit very bad, but do not know extent of damage. He is a
weather man.

Got a few limbs down and some shingle issues, nothing major I see as of yet.
Broke the tops out of a lot of trees.
Getting phone calls and text for the past couple of hours.
Going to get my own done before I jump in on others.
An archery 3-D shoot today at the club. Gate issues. I would imagine their course is a mess as it is in a lot of heavy old growth timber.
No call from the son, or work, so that is a plus.

I have to say this was about the worst I was ever in, as far as wind.
From what I recall on the radar this AM it was a huge system.

judging from those pictures things were about to get a whole lot worse.
usually when you see the damage like that everything just gets pulled apart from the roof on down as the next step..

Glad to hear your all ok!

Wow, they got really lucky. Once the structure opens up the whole thing can turn to toothpicks pretty quick.

We experienced 50-60 mph wind & heavy rain. Nothing extreme or out of ordinary.

We have chainsaws, log splitter, & dump truck. Need any of that, Brad give me a holler.

Wow, generous offer of the tools but how about people to operate those tools? I can see it now, Brad with a chain saw in each hand standing on one foot and operating the splitter with the other foot but all out of extremities to load the truck.:eek:o_O
.

We hauled 6 truck loads from my parents this morning. Luckily they have no damage to their house. Trees didn't fair so well.
We are getting ready to go and help some others now. No idea what we will be dealing with there.

Thanks for the offer Bruce, I will let you know if we need anything. So far we have been fortunate.

Brad, dunno about up there but humidity is a killer. Drink water, lots of it, even if you are not thirsty!
Just got home from cleaning up the GF's and her mothers places.

All of the tree issues were those blasted soft maples. I have two in the yard here at home. They may come clear down or a healthy hair cut this fall!

All of you stay hydrated!
Easy on the beer.

Am very glad I got rid of the big old soft maple in my front yard a few years
back. Lost a fair number of big limbs in an October ice storm, that almost
took out the neighbors truck. Cost a whoop to get rid of the thing, but it
was a priority the following spring. Very glad I did it.
