Mighty glad you gents and your families came through this safely and sustaining little to no damage to your structures. Even though I'm on the fringe of what might be called the Los Angeles metropolitan area, I have pretty good neighbors on both sides of me. I can't imagine not being there for your neighbors when the chips are down.

Wow, generous offer of the tools but how about people to operate those tools? I can see it now, Brad with a chain saw in each hand standing on one foot and operating the splitter with the other foot but all out of extremities to load the truck.:eek:o_O
.

I am but, one man:confused:

Brad's 6 loads might only be one of mine.:p I'm certain the people he helped weren't mad about how many loads it took.

We fill it 12Lx8Wx9H, only run one saw at a time though.

The splitter ram tilts down so, no lifting required on that. It also has electric start.

Some of the streets in the neighborhood were damn difficult to maneuver a pickup thru. Not sure how anything bigger would have made it. I even folded in my drivers side mirror to get by another vehicle once.
Narrow streets combined with lots of debris all around made for interesting driving.

Well, that's the thing. A one ton Ford from the 80's with a big block don't care what's in the way it goes over, through, or moves whatever's in the way.

Reminds me of a time years ago. I was driving home in a blizzard they had a street blocked off. When I finally got up to the detour turn I pull over to speak with the cop. He's on overtime & can't leave till they show up to clear the road.

I dropped the old heavy northman blade & pushed the whole tree up on the curb. I see a cop point at the back of my truck & in that split second realized I'd forgot to mail in the registration renewal for the truck only 2 weeks past due. They didn't even mention it & were thankful they could now go home. I went the next day to renew the registration.
