Recently acquired on in 6.5x55 and have shot J words with it.
Was wondering if anyone has one they have shot cast with!
What mold did you use? How did it shoot?

I recently sold mine (completely "as issued"), but it was a pleasure to shoot CB's from it, particularly if they wore a gas check. Before you think about a mould, slug the bore and do a "pound cast " of the throat as you may be surprised at the dimensions and, ergo the mould you'll need. Once you do, check out NOE's offerings. Additionally, with that 1:7 twist, I never pushed my CB's fast: e.g., 9 - 10gr. Unique, or 14gr. WC 820 (AA #9). Btw, my rifle needed a .267" diameter CB and was very accurate with it.

My 1901 dated Swede requires a .269" cast bullet, and I Lee-mented a 266469 back in the pre-NOE days.

My vision is no longer compatible with Mauser iron sights, so I removed the rear sight ladder and spring, and replaced them with a BadAce no-gunsmith Picatinney-type scope mount and a long eye relief scope. Perfect!

My 1908 CG wearing the BadAce mount with a cheap LER scope. Not cast as I gave up on that with the poor group buy mold knock off that I tried years ago. Maybe someday I'll try cast in this rifle again. It is a tack driver with my reloads though, I bought a case of the wood tipped practice rounds and repurposed them with Hornady 140gn bullets. Sweet shooter.
