Need? What does that have to do with any of this?
I we bought only the guns, moulds, and other shooting stuff we needed the industry would collapse.
What you need is to convince yourself that you don’t WANT a 9 mm. That fell apart for me when I shot a CZ 75 the first time.

I have two five-gallon buckets nearly full of .45 ACP brass, about 6K deprimed, SS tumbled, and in 50-round boxes, and 4K loaded. What do I need a 9mm for? Don't tell me it spreads around the primer usage and uses less of everything to reload.....

Ian, I will even throw in a dozen custom made ammo box labels for your new 9mm.

You do have Ian’s addy, right?

Maybe we could all chip in and set him up for 9mm.

probably have to dig around some but I believe I do.
if not I can forward stuff to you and we can do a big add to it box.
maybe we could do a fill the box with stuff thing from around the country and give his mail man a hernia.
and Ian an aneurism having all that stuff and no gun.

did anyone mention the less recoil thing?

It also comes in a Browning , or an FN , or Beretta , or S&W , I think maybe only Winchester is without a 9mm pistol . It's even available in revolvers , it just takes a cylinder swap in single action 38/357 .

I can see where Ian is coming from. I'm the same way except it's for the 45 ACP. Have exactly zero firearms chambered in that designation. On the other hand, I have six chambered in 9 mm............ ranging from subcompact to full size, plus a carbine.

And remember Ian, 9mm subsonics recoil like a 22LR through a can, and are perfect for shorty carbines as well.

I know you need more ARs to build.

I'm not the biggest fan of the 45 ACP either. There's a S&W 625 and a couple of 1911's but that's it. That said my most accurate centerfire pistol and revolver are both 45 ACP's.

And a 9mm AR with a can and subs would be a great way to teach kids to shoot.

Well "if" I was to buy a 9mm this centuary it would be one of the Browning clones. 30 years ago at a weak moment I bought a P1 (think P38 and not the can opener) and enjoyed it for a couple mags. 9mm is what I might shoot yotes with.
Then 25 years ago the ILLinois SP sold off their S&W 39's so bought one... shot a couple mags and that was that.
I am much more happy with a 38 Special revolver.
