Gun Tote

Whenever I go up the hill to my range, it's ALWAYS the case where I have forgotten something, either ammo, a different gun, ect. So, to that end I started a project yesterday that will help with that situation. I bought a jogging stroller and am in the process of stripping it down to do a rebuild that will enable me to "stroll" up the hill with most of the stuff I'll need. Here's a snap of the stroller stripped of the "baby" stuff and ready for a custom built bottom platform to hold rifles, pistols, ect.Stroller.jpg

Neat idea. Looks like it's made well and even has a parking brake. I wonder if the the bonnet could be maintained as part of the design to keep drizzle off as you head back after getting rained out.

Reminds me of the gun carts Cowboy Action Shooter's use to haul our stuff around. You never have enough hands/space for everything but a cart sure helps.

Sporting clays, too, for those smaller events where a powered car is too much trouble or there isn't room.

That's a good solution to the aching back/shoulder problem packing stuff to the bench. It's tough to shoot really good groups after straining the wrong muscles with a heavy bag strap.

Yeah, that's my excuse Ian, and I'm sticking to it, although now I'll need to tighten up the groups at least a little.

You know, I'm looking at that plastic trash can in the background and thinking - I could shove that down in between the sides of that stroller frame and get a bunch of long-guns in it.;)

I use a little pneumatic-tired wagon at home to haul my tools around to whatever project I have going on. It saves trips back and forth to the shop and garage and, when I'm diligent and put tools back in the wagon as I've finished using them, I can react pretty quickly getting everything wheeled back to the shop if it starts raining.

I may steal your idea for the guns. Much nicer, and probably a better ride for the guns.
