Nice work Ian. I'm just happy to see others have clutter. I see these pics of spotless shops with a place for everything and everything in it's place and get the hives... ;)

As long as we agree on a .......... Entrapment ....... I don't see why names are a big deal .......pure science of course agrees by allowing for the possibility that we're in a controlled petri dish or a gob of jelly in the back of a fridge .

Minds are.like parachutes , they work best when they're open .
I guess that swings the other way too where they're nice to have if you fly but you will probably never use it .

Back to back shifts on a 6 hr nap suck , more.coffee and chocolate please .

Used to hate an 8 hr. call-back. 2 hr. travel, SS&S, eat and sleep. I always got to work 20-30 minutes early. Pretty much meant a 3 to 4 hr. nap. People who knew better, stayed out of my path on those days.

NICE, Ian!

Not everyone pays attention to grain when they lay something out. Many don't know why some pieces look more "right" than others, but haphazard grain layout is just "off."

Good eye, Sir.

Nicely done.
I like the cup pulls, nothing to snag, debris doesn't collect in them, clean appearance.

I also like how you cut the face from one sheet of plywood and matched the pattern in the veneer. Cool !

oooo, is that sweet...love the matching grain on the front.
As simple as it sounds, I would have never even thought of making the drawer fronts from one chunk of plywood so the grain matches, I know I would have just used scraps from the larger cut outs. I'll be banking the memory for future purposes.

I spent a couple years working in a custom cabinet shop, one of the best things I ever did next to being a plumber's helper in new construction for a while and of course never having to pay a mechanic to diagnose or repair anything I own. One of the tricks I learned was matching grain, especially when gluing up solid wood panels and planning how they would be cut for door panels, drawers, and end panels.

This one was made from CDX scraps left over from a room addition, two match but the rest don't, it looks kind of goofy but I had very little money in it and it serves its purpose in the shop just fine:

what'd you have to pay the midget to hold the drawer closed for the Pic?

I'd be like Jon.
not even a moments worth of thought about it, then it would have bugged me to no end until i primed and painted it all some color from the bargain bin.
