Hogue wood grips

Anyone get any of their grips lately? Wondering how the quality is nowadays. My new Taurus M66 has grips that are rubber but feel like I am holding a Glock. Midway has a set of the wood grips on sale and with my birthday discount they are really reasonable. I just have been seeing lots of reports of fitment issues. I know you see more issues that are bad than good on things sometimes but that is just people whining about not getting their way on something.

Purchased a set of wooden Hogues for a Ruger MK II about 6 months ago. There as good as the other 12-15 older Hogue wooden grips here divided between pistols and revolvers.

Bought a set, from Jeff, for the square butt S&W 624 but returned them for a poor fit problem, however I forgot what the problem was. Bought another set, they fit and I like them. I don't know why Hogue doesn't blend the wood up to the back of the trigger guard, though, instead of leaving an unsightly and amateurish looking gap.

Well I got the Midway order on the way. So we will see if this fits. What concerns me is the M66 is now a 7 shot compared to my old one was a 6 shot. I see some references to this from people saying it might not fit. I have had a email into Hogue for 2 weeks about this without a reply.

I have said this numerous times in other threads about my luck with things. I am up to about 50/50 on stuff right now on whether stuff works or not.

Purchased Houge's for a round butt S&W 24-3 a couple of years ago, from Jeff. They weren't a perfect fit but not bad for factory grips.

I have two sets but bought twenty plus years ago.

I like them allot for looks and feel. Fit was very good.

Came in today. Rosewood laminate. They fit good enough for me. But boy was it a pain trying to get that little hanger just right to get the screw in from the bottom.
