Picked up a box of .410 190gr FTXs and a box of Speer .41 cal Deep Curl bullets, they arrived today.

Did a bit of bit twiddling, a 190 grain bullet, BC of .165 (pistol bullets don't have a BC...) with a 2000 fps velocity, it is about 3" high at 100, dead on at 150, 3" low at 175, and 7" low at 200.

I know a 210 grain FTX can be pushed to 2000 fps out of my .414 Super 16.

Box sez expected velocity range for the 190 is 800-2000.

Henry must be selling more of those 41 mag lever guns than I thought.

Both a 30-30 and a 45-70. Ample length for a .414 Supermag.

Love to see a .41 tube on one of these, chambered for the .414, only issue is using the correct nose shape to avoid a slam fire in the magazine tube... The .41 FTX is only 190gr... Would rather see a heavier Deep Curl (than the existing 210gr)...

the nosler sporting bullets beefed up for hunting would be a great choice too.
the open nose and thin jackets they use just won't quite penetrate enough to do the job [found out the hard way] but the shape is correct.

There is the Swift A Frame .41 bullet. Good for as hard as you can push it! Some serious construction...

"Muzzle loader and heavy revolver A-Frame® bullets are one in the same. Both initiate expansion at 850 feet per second, expand to 1.65x their original caliber, and maintain 97% of their weight. They are virtually indestructible at velocities in excess of 3000 feet per second."
