Has anyone used one ?
The 6.5 Japanese has driven me to a point that actually using the Kieth push through blank and a 6.5 match chamber reamer to make a breach seater/over sized neck sizer die was looking very good .
I stumbled on a very cheap sizer die and seater the Hornady 6.5 Universal neck die and seater . A brief search delivered right next to nothing useful . It seems to be either a semi generic bushing die that has a radiusish generic partial shoulder bump or it is an adjustable "collet" , ie; tighten the decapping rod bushing to make the neck smaller back it off for bigger . My current math says I need a .295 OD for the .270 ID more or less .
Of course the reason for this is just to avoid moving the neck most of .1 every cycle .
Ammohead from TOB (that other board) has me fixed up with with both a Buckshot Lee style push through and a just slightly smaller (.2728 & .272+) H&I for the Herters Lyman 45 lubesizer . That should play nice with the Arisaka as the unsized 270-140 NOE shows promise unsized with a "snapped on" 6.5 Hornady check at .272+ . I have a .278 , .280 ,and .285 from Buckshot and the .258 , .260 , and .265 .......none of which were especially helpful here .
The big question is which way does the neck die swing ?
If needed is it practical to lap it a little bit of should I just put it in with the Forster BR neck die for the 264 and walk on knowing that for $15 I've made worse mistakes .
