Thanks for the compliment, gentlemen. I can think of a whole lot worse
people to be compared to than TR. And I wonder if my load in that Marlin 1895 .45-70
wasn't maybe a bit stouter than the .405 that TR used for his heavy rifle. Not too certain
about the .405's ballistics, maybe it is more powerful. I was shooting 405gr JSP at 1750 fps.
What caliber is the AR, Ian. Seems like you have a .458 SOCOM, and that would be
good medicine for hogs.
It is neat to put a face to some that I have "known" for years but never met.
I think Brad is the only one here that I have actually met in person. Kinda funny, when you think
about it. The very first thing you get to know about most people that you "meet" is what they look
like. Here we learn how they think, what they do, and a lot about at least one of their hobbies, but
often a good bit more, and yet rarely see the face behind it.
