We have an amazing variety of tools at hand to access information. Desktops, laptops, tablets, and smart phones, just to name a few. Those different devices may result in slightly different experiences. The information is ultimately the same, but the perception can be different.
The small physical size of a smart phone limits how much text you can see at once. Sure, you can scroll through an unlimited number of pages, but those pages are small. Some of the differences are generational. Younger folks tend to prefer phones for everything. Older folks seem to be a bit more inclined to use a laptop or a tablet.
There’s also the convenience factor. A smaller device than can access the internet can be used just about anywhere. A bigger screen doesn’t change the content, but it can affect the reader’s perception of the message. And there's the real keyboard verses touchscreen interface.
