Lee moulds are not the ONLY tool or firearm that comes in "kit form" these days. A cottage industry has formed in the firearms hobby world for the "finishing"/"completion" of revolver cylinder throats.

I am amassing data now. Listing every method proscribed on how to prep, condition, and use this mould style. From that data common methods will emerge from this. Obviously following the mfg's advice has proven usless. Prior to my ill fated venture here I had searched the site for threads on the matter and came up empty. Now after a shift in the posting, various forms of advice, methods, and treatment have surfaced. Good. I'll make use of it. o_O:)

"After a shift in posting"? The thread I linked a few posts back has been up here for a long time, and remained on page one of that sub-forum. I understand that you went into this Lee thing under the assumption that they would respond to exactly the same techniques as your iron moulds, and also that we sort of assumed you could figure out (after 60 years of casting experience!) on your own the signs of when a mould was too cold or that putting beeswax on an alignment pin was a pretty stupid instruction to follow, but please stop blaming us for not a). Being clairvoyant and b.) not having spelled this out before you ever even joined the forum.

Now, did you actually read Rick's thread on pot vs. mould temperature that I linked a few posts ago, or the how-to thread I just created and posted a little while ago for your benefit?

shoulda saved a few more bucks and got that 140gr RCBS RNFP or something similar made of iron like a real mould. o_O

That is a recurrent theme in many of your 293 posts on this forum. If someone doesn't take from many of your posts that you have no desire to learn something new they either aren't paying attention or haven't read your posts. How many times have you posted that you have been doing it the same way for 60 years and your not about to change. The first time you posted that you took a hammer to an aluminum mold because you couldn't cast with it you were told that aluminum is an excellent mold material but the skill to use it must be learned. Now you've posted the same thing again, what else could a reader take from your posts? If the truth is insulting so be it.

I'm done here. I've tried to be polite as I was raised to be so I'll not "dignify" your remarks with a reply in kind. I'll just leave and now you can heap all your smug and self-impressed remarks at me that you want.

Note to moderators :
Do be so kind as to remove me from this site. I have no further desire to remain in a hostile forum where individuals are subjected to disparaging remarks and treatment.
