IDEAL 323471

It was mild here today.
Too good of a day not to roll the pot outside and get some casting in.
I like to keep about 300 or so of my IDEAL 323471's.
My 8X57mm Scout rifle simply loves this bullet.
I cast several hundred today.

My favorite load of 12.3 grs. of Alliant Unique , with the IDEAL, 323471, sized to .325 ". The bullet has my own .014 " thick AL gas checks.

I couldn't be happier with my rifle.

I love that design, and so does all 3 of my 8x57's, in fact they all love THAT mould. I plan to have Tom cut that design with a .180 meplat or get me an NOE of traditional design.

My mould is an old IDEAL, seems like I remember sending AL at NOE , five cast bullets for him to copy. He now sells a clone of this mould.

I'll be shooting some of these in a few days. I hope that it shoots well in my 8 X 57 mm ?
