I would take a WIDE sweeping turn a little faster every day on my Harley.
The rear tire wore out much faster than the front. ("Sticky" Dunlop 591)
I cheeped out and put a high mile Avon on the rear. Big mistake.
The next time I pushed that wide turn I could feel the rear drifting back and forth. Kinda cool, but not. That was the last and only time I took that turn at over 80mph.
I like to powe slide in the dirt, but I've been laid up to many times to see how far I can go on asphalt.
I didn't wait till that rear tire wore out. Always replaced both tires after that.

I rode just enough to learn that if the bike tires aren't talking to each other it's very hard to ride smooth ....... Replacement of pairs when you wear them out 5-6 to one is harsh .....

Nobody wrecks on turn entry creosote.....

Oh my,yes too high of an entry speed is the #1 cause of tossing bikes but.....

We're riding the OTHER way on the street. So when the dipstick is blasting corners, oncoming and he enters way to fast,he's gonna wreck later in the turn..... which puts it right where,OUR turnin point, usually is.

Practice; a delayed(usually a lefty) turnin..... really, and I mean REALLY practice a wide, late turnin on lefty's. Once you get used to the line on your right,it becomes "normal". Think passing some dipchit on the outside....

This is EXACTLY where a fully loaded logging truck impedes in our lane(lefty for us). If you've practiced this,it'll become second nature.

Flying W is almost FUN. So is pond jumping! Wet mud - power on so the tire spins - else you fall with the exhaust pipe on your leg. My sense of balance was never good enough to do trials. GS450 came with weird tires that didn't take to decreasing radii curves very well. Concrete curb save me that time, really nothing you can do. No brake, no lean, just hang on - in city auto traffic.

Once you learn that squaring scrubs speed, even though we're "on the gas" it has to be ranked right up there as the #1 defensive move.

Think; the problem is coming on a trajectory, squaring it is the only practical "counterpunch"

Drifting a bike.
I've owned many bikes and put on many miles over the last 40 years, but the only time I have 'intentionally' drifted, was on the Ice. I had a XL350R with studs and was playing on frozen lakes back in the 80s. Drifting was about the only way to take a corner.

Funny story.
One year shortly after freeze over, I was out there ripping around. There was maybe 4" of ice, I knew the lake well (growing up there) and wasn't worried about busting through the ice. One person put out a small fish house...back in the 80s fish houses were typically small, like 4 by 6, so a small house doesn't need much more than 4" of good ice. Then we got a warm spell, and that house started to sink. The Sheriff's dept when out there to investigate, the house was frozen in good, so it wasn't moving without a bunch of work. I guess the Sheriff noticed some of my tracks I left with my studded tires, and he put out a BIG warning in the local newspaper about not taking motorized vehicles out on the early ice. Me and a buddy got a good laugh about it.

I've always been partial to fat tire minibikes or enduro/dual sports(street legal dirt bikes). No kind of speed demon on 2 wheels.

However, 16mph seems really fast when traversing soupy corn field bottoms (loose a boot soupy), with stunted standing corn, your wife on the back, 2 rifles with gear, & dragging a deer on a sled behind.

Salad for dinner......again....I want tacos or cheese burgers. Enough rabbit food for one week.
Camping again this weekend again on a high note...more rocks to find.

I understand. It would be easier if healthy food tasted as good as the bad stuff. A salad I can do but too many veggies just aren’t my style.

anything but sala,,, err anything but celery and salad.
I will eat beet greens, parsnip stems, carrot greens, pea pods, green apples, water cress, raw spinach, and any number of things, even a radish from time to time.
but god I hate celery, it's like drinking sour water with strings in it.

Rumor has it that celery is the only common food (if you call it that) which has a negative net calorie content. It takes more energy to chew, swallow, and digest it than it provides. The only thing I use the stuff for is garnishing a bloody mary (rarely), keeping a roast moist inside the foil, or making a nice roux in beef & veggie stew.

Celery is good stuff but those raw carrots that were mentioned, I'd sooner eat a cat turd than a raw carrot.

Besides the celery and peanut butter combination, there's apple and peanut butter, too.

I like most all veggies in their raw state...right out of the garden.
Some of them I'll cook, but usually there is meat involved when I'm cooking them.
Today is grill Chicken leg quarters day, 55¢ at Aldi's, so I bought a fresh 10lb bag.
