Is there a 45 Short Colt? Is there a 45 long Colt?

Is the .45 GAP still a viable cartridge? That's pretty much a .45 ACP short isn't it?

My two are def Long Colts! lol! Recent reading/research convinces me there were two diff case lengths, and as a result, many tended to refer to the longer case length as the 45 "Long" Colt, so they knew what they were getting.

Well there's enough slop in the 92' Rosschester to feed Starline Schofield .
The RBH has enough space for them also .
I had a 1917 that was reamed to headspace a Schofield on the mouth also , it too had room for the rims .

Does the RBH have recessed rims? Anyway not trying to say different guns can't shoot the three different cartridges, just trying to explain the myth of the 45 long Colt.
