Lost my mould. Or maybe just my mind.

I thought I bought a mould off EBay.
It had no markings but was sold as a Lee 358 125 r 2 cavity.
If I remember right. It came in a Lee box, can't remember if it had fixed handles.
Any how It was, is my go to one for all 9mm. 3.8 grain red dot and smash it down with the bullet. Shoots good enough in any 9mm.
Well looking thru my boxed moulds and no finding a box marked.
Cast about 2000, 2 years ago and down to 200 or so. Can not find a lee box marked that way. Can not find a 125 grain Lee anything in any Lee listing.
I know the bullet design exists because....KIMG0044.JPGAnyone have a clue what this is??? Cast from range scrap/30 to1 and after powder coating. All samplings weigh 127 grain +-1. Had note that I sized from a 358 measurement to .356.
According to Lee on line it does not exist in their universe at least in a 2 groove version. But my memory says it does.

Theirs is a RFN, shaped much like their 158 RFN, one groove and forward of the crimp groove, it's the same OD as the rest of the bullet.

I'd say that did not come from a LEE mould, unless it was a group buy. Maybe?

Sure looks like a Lyman 358(or 356) 242.
That might explain it I keep all my Lyman moulds in a separate place in pickle jars soaking in kroil. But I swear it was an aluminum mould.
Guess my memory could be off a bit. I will have to get out to the barn and look thru them.

Ah I found it. It was in my loading box. 358242.
Don't know why I was thinking that bullet was a Lee.:headscratch:
Took reading a note, I had wrapped around it. To figure out why it was there. Off by itself.

It was a mould SMac had given me with a set of handles. I got off him.
Steve certainly is, and will be missed.

I was hoping it was you mind that you lost . . . then you could have looked for mine at the same time!
Just wait until you get to OK and try to find stuff that you think you know that you have, or know that you have stuff that you think you have that you don't have, or it's not in the box thought you put it in because it's in the box that you know that you didn't put it in.

Throw in a move and it becomes nigh impossible. I spent a couple hours Friday night looking for stuff I know I moved (vs in the boxes at the old place). Like to drive me crazy. . . .

At large, whereabouts unknown.

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.
