Mod to my powder measure

No secret to anyone that powder right now is expensive.
Wasting it is NOT A GOOD IDEA ! !
I don't think that I've ever seen a powder measure that had a lid
that locked in place. So, if the measure has powder in it and the measure gets leaned over, the lid will simply fall off & powder can & will spill out.

I really like my Lee Powder Measure but I felt that it could benefit
from a simple modification. I gave a good bit of thought on how to secure the lid properly. I thought about two screws, but I've always got to have the correct screw driver handy if I change powder or add powder. I decided on Velcro.
May not be pretty, but loosing and wasting a lot of powder right now isn't pretty either.

Only measure that I remove from its stand is my Lil Dandy. My UNI Flow and REDDING X15 simply are "run thru" but I also never ever "fill" them. I have always had a good eye for needed volume. ;) :p

Your method is less messy than mine. I have a roll of masking tape in the drawer, and a sharpie as well, to jot down what the flavor of the week is in the reservoir.

Never had that problem. Probably because when I move a powder measure to empty it, the powder can and funnel are already set up to receive the overage. That and the "DEATH GRIP" I take on the powder measure to move it towards emptying it.
But I do like the "long" Cap on the Little Dandy. Tape has helped me in the past;)

Ben, that solution fixes a problem that is unique to that Lee powder dispenser. When I want to move my RCBS Uniflo, I grab it by the powder tank and pick up the whole thing. But when I lift my Lee by the tank, the tank comes right off, by design. That has caused some spillage. Your trick solves that problem.

’atta boy!

By the way, I have no patents ( nor do I want any ), so use the idea if it has merit for your application.
