image.jpeg image.jpeg My Brother and I went out camping again this last weekend for more long-range shooting. Here are some pictures of our 32 x 34" steel target that we shot at 1 mile. 1760 yards. 300 grain Nosler custom competition bullets were used with Lapua brass and H 1000 powder.
Over two days we fired a total of 65 rounds between the two of us and had 20 hits.
This is all still very new to us but we are having fun trying to connect at this long distance.

Do you pack your own steel out there? Around here we measure our target distance in paces, looks like you use an odometer!

We can get it within a couple hundred yards on a dirt road but then he hike it through the sagebrush to the final spot. We just leave them out there. Pretty remote. They have sat there for a few years now.

What a great way to spend some time. You are fortunate to have wide open spaces like that for long range shooting.
