Nasty weather here in Alabama last night.

Ben, glad you made it through unscathed. Can’t imagine how to protect yourself from Mother Nature throwing that at you, today is our turn. We are expecting a foot + of enjoyment today, can’t wait! Only good thing is it will melt quickly.
Stay safe.

Living in Tornado Alley, we see more than our share of the bad weather, tornado wise.
About 5 years ago Hastings Ne. had hail like you pictured, that wiped out dozens of cars,
sidings on houses etc. Was describes by some as being nearly grapefruit size. We have
had 2-3 small towns here in Ne. virtually wiped out by twisters. They are for sure nothing
to challenge when warnings come. It was reported some time back, that there have been
tornados on the ground in Ne. in every month of the year. I remember one time in Ka when
we lived there seeing a wall cloud with 6-7 twister fingers coming down out of a wall cloud
but none of them ever touched the ground. Was in Topeka, Ka, when the big twister hit.
It came thru nearly a mile wide in places and about 7-8 miles long. 13 people died in that
one. Stay safe Ben, and heed the warnings and get to cover when they are given.

What the ......... if m moving there on purpose ..........
Glad everyone is ok and there were "just property loses" .

I drove through a week after the big one in OKC about 4 yr ago . There was about a mile of I 40 that had the crack seal slurry and a few patches sucked out of the concrete . At the rail bridge on the east side there is a huge hay barn , like 80×200 , roof only . The roof was pulled off and went through a oak grove on the other side of the freeway and scooped the whole probably close to 2 acres up and dumped it all on top the rails rolled up in the roof metal .

It was almost as impressive as horrific .
To me it was a reminder that we are small , fragile , and despite what we're taught not at the top of the food chain .

You mean the clients will take the hit!

Stay safe. Our miserable cold temps and snow look pretty good compared to some of that crap you got.

Bret - I beg to differ. I will take 10' of snow a week for 3 months vs a single tornado scare. My psyche AND my drawers take a big hit every time.

I WISH I had pics from the one(s) that went from something like OK to NC/VA back in the early/mid '80s when I was in college. It went near Greenville, NC where I was in school. Highlights I remember... I BIG standing grain bin - blown 10-15 miles and looked like crumpled tin foil; same thing with a big silver Massey combine - looked like the hand of God had come down and crumpled it like baked potato tin foil wrap that you thow away; cuts in tree lines that ANY Power Co would have been damned proud to make to clear for new power lines; and last, but not least, pieces of straw - driven 1/2 depth into a wooden barn wall like finishing nails! THAT one will stick with me to my death! Tornadoes scare the living SNOT (and other S-word stuff) outta me!
