Living in Tornado Alley, we see more than our share of the bad weather, tornado wise.
About 5 years ago Hastings Ne. had hail like you pictured, that wiped out dozens of cars,
sidings on houses etc. Was describes by some as being nearly grapefruit size. We have
had 2-3 small towns here in Ne. virtually wiped out by twisters. They are for sure nothing
to challenge when warnings come. It was reported some time back, that there have been
tornados on the ground in Ne. in every month of the year. I remember one time in Ka when
we lived there seeing a wall cloud with 6-7 twister fingers coming down out of a wall cloud
but none of them ever touched the ground. Was in Topeka, Ka, when the big twister hit.
It came thru nearly a mile wide in places and about 7-8 miles long. 13 people died in that
one. Stay safe Ben, and heed the warnings and get to cover when they are given.
