Waco,

My brother's rifles like the h brand and aa, while mine seems to prefer imr in the 4350.
Lol, we both get to the same place...just with different brands of powder.

I hear ya. To date I realy only use the IMR4350 in the .30-06 for hunting loads.
I bought this new 6.5cm and H4350 seems to be the go to powder for it.
This stuff is unobtainum and has been for some time. I got lucky and found a place that had 8 pounders in stock.
Grabbed that and 5k primers.....Made the wife real happy...:sigh:

that's why you buy 50K primers at a time.
they get over it in the same amount of time.

Ummm, mine wouldn't?

Mine is reminding me that I did get a new rifle AND 5 K Win SPP a few weeks ago.

What is this "get over it" you speak of?

she must have got over it, that or she didn't know.
either way I done it on 4 separate occasions and she still won't leave.

we got 2 radio stations the am one and the fm one.
same station.
I pay the satellite radio company money.
the great thing is I get no interference trying to dial in a station for the receiver..
I rigged in an antenna and power source in the garage and play it over the JVC..

I KNEW 35 shooter had some data for the 30 cal xcb bullet.
he just keeps too quiet about things.
Fiver,

Lol, yeah i get kind of quite about these high velocity threads sometimes...it's a hold over from the other site.
I'm paranoid of getting hit over the head with the RPM THINGY.
Actually i pay attention to that somewhat....but i pay more attention to things like bullet fit, chamber pressure, alloy and hardness, muzzle pressure, slow powders for speed. etc.

Mostly i just use the advice all of you guys have given over the years and just go to the range and try stuff.

Trap music? I've run lines with a few folks. None of them ever listened to music while checking their traps.

Ian,

Believe it or not, i got back into air gunning about a year ago now and have entered into my 2nd childhood i guess.
I've got to get back on the ball with my powder guns. I've been following along on Waco's high velocity thread very closely though.....GO WACO...GO!!!

it's an investment.
1500 right before bill Clinton took office would have bought 130-150K primers.

I don't shoot the volume some of you do. I still have unopened pounds of Unique with a 1990 date on the bottom of the can. Unopened bricks of primers from the same time frame...

She already did. London for 6 days then Paris for another 6.
We leave in late April.
I already have the route mapped out to a decent sized RAF museum. Lots of British WW2 aircraft I have never seen, going to be a neat experience.

35 shooter thanks for all that velocity info. Kind of has me worried about my 47gr loads with IMR 4350. They might end up around 2600fps.

you won't be the first one to over run a bullet with powder.
you'll know when you do.

Yeah I’m just hoping it doesn’t involve chore boy wrapped around a bronze brush

That isn't leading, that is a strongly reinforced reminder of what doesn't work.

As long as it isn't a spontaneous disassembly then there is no failure. It is all part of learning.

How many filaments did Edison try before he found one that lasted?
