New Ruger SA .22lr Revolver

Bill, the spec sheet says it is a cera coat finish. Make a good knockaround/tackle box gun. Better than what most of the yahoos on Swamp People use. I'm partial to DA revolvers over any other handgun but for most purposes the new Wrangler would be fine.

I guess Cerakote is more durable than powder coating, plus they have actually built a good
reputation, too.

A friend of mine does ceracoat and dip paint finishes on all sorts of things, mostly guns, bows, and outdoor gear. He did all the pieces for our lathe tool setup that we use daily where it is rubbed by metal chips and splashed with oil and water. Very, very durable. It will rub and wear but it won't chip and flake like paint.

I had my SS Marlin 1894 done up in Cerakote, probably twenty years ago. The SS was just too shiny. Holding up very well. Only wear is at the loading gate. It's my main deer hunting firearm. Would highly recommend.
