I will be testing the PB version over the next week while camping. I loaded some in 30-30 and 300BLK.
When my sprue needs cooling I PM Rick, he acts like a wet blanket!I run both cavities.
When the sprues need cooling, I use a wet sponge.
Ben
I should be nice to Rick, I learned a ton from him.

Do you use a fan when casting Ben?
I have a small one that I use to help regulate mould temp.Yes, on me !
I'm not Ben. But i do cast with one cavity only, don't need an awful lot of bulletsbut no you don't need to cast faster BUT YOU DON'T WANT TO ADMIRE WHAT YOU JUST DROPPED TOOOOO LONG. DanBen a question from the peanut gallery. Please.
When using a double cavity mold, but only using 1 of the cavities. Do you find you have to cast faster to keep the mold at whet ever temperature you find that casts the best bullets? Or do you fill both cavities and put back all of the bullets you don't want this time. GC vs PB
Ben,
I picked up the gas check version of this mould ( NOE 311-188 Hunter FN ) and although it is a flat nose, NOE notes that it is for use with the 308 and 30-06, no mention is made of the 30-30. Do you think there is a flat enough nose to use in my Marlin?
