This one is rapidly becoming one of my favorite 38/357 Cast bullets.
With mild to moderate loads, it is also a nail driver in my Ruger # 1, 357 Maximum

I have shot a fair number of those. My guns all seem to like them.

I think it is a good " general purpose " bullet for the 38 Spec. and the 357 Mag.

That WOULD be a good general purpose 38/357 bullet. That nose is wide, but the radius looks like it would feed in leverguns without any fuss & bother, and nose length isn't excessive when crimped into the most-forward groove.

I bought it for just that purpose, to be an all around bullet.

You guys are going to cost me MORE MONEY.

I already have WFN design bullets for "multi-purpose" rifle-revolver apps in 32/20, 357, and 44 caliber. All have GC shanks to expand their utility into the 1700-1800 FPS realms in rifles. No law requires such high velocities, though--even in California, where all things not prohibited are automatically mandatory by default. A plain-based bullet running 900-950 FPS from a handgun gets 1200-1250 FPS from its companion rifle's barrel. And I REALLY like standard-weight SWCs at 900-1000 FPS in my revolvers of late. DRAT YOU GUYS, ANYWAY. This could get expensive.

Me too Ben. That in a dimple point is my favorite in .38 and it’s big brother in 180 gr. Is what I feed my 1894 .357. In fact shot a beaver today with one.

Ben,

That one closely resembles my Lyman 358416, except with a crimp groove. Did you ever work up any good loads with the 358416? I used a taper crimp and got good results with no leading, but those loads were a little warm for my Colt Officer's Model.

Just curious to now of any comparison you could offer.

Yes, I've shot the 416' out of my Marlin, 38 Spec. CBC lever gun.
Shoots great.

Agree. I used this bullet in my Blackhawk with WC820 for jackrabbits. It works great & is plenty accurate. This one in the picture is from unknown range scrap.
