NOE molds

S Mac

Sept. 10, 2021 Steve left us. You are missed.
Been a while since I bought a NOE mould but that sounds like a 200% markup to me.

At large, whereabouts unknown.
They're on GunBroker too. Wholesale Hunter, I believe. Their stupid sale ads clutter the hell out of the auction list. I think the auction sites give special benefits if you keep a large number of auctions going. I think this is what we're seeing with some of the guys who are listing stuff at 4 times the price too.

Stripping and flipping bricks of 22 LR for $100-$125 no longer works for these buccaneers, so "Rare, Custom, One-Of-A-Kind" moulds are their next ambush site for the unwary. Darned if it makes sense to me, but it must have a pay-off of some kind to someone.

One thing Al has unknowingly done, to help these Buccaneers out, is he adjusts the mold name/numbers. So a mold he cut 5 years ago, maybe called 360-160-SWC but that name hasn't been listed for some time, now it is listed as 360-165-SWC-T5 ...and there is likely a couple incarnations inbetween. So if a potential buyer tries to search info about it, it may look like a One-Of-A Kind.

I suppose I am of the mindset that if people want to do this, and can find buyers willing to pay the price, then more power to them.
This is the ultimate in capitalism. The purchaser and seller enter into a consensual agreement. The intelligence of the agreement from an outsiders point of view has no relevance.

As a believe in, and practitioner of capitalism, I wholeheartedly agree, Brad, though something P. T. Barnum once said comes to mind.

It's older than P.T.. Caveat Emptor, It's the buyer alone who should know the value of the goods, buyer beware.

There are lots of folks out there that have no idea of the mould makers doing "custom" moulds. They make more money than one person should have and think nothing of buying what they want. Kinda like paying $7 for a dried up turkey leg at Disney Land.
