I do not have a 308 shoulder die, to bump back shoulder length. Could i use a 358 Win sizing die that doesn't have the expander in it?

If you have the .358 dies already, try using them. I use the .358 dies as body dies after loading to assure the cases will function in two different rifles.

Pushing the shoulder back is a different scenario.

I had an 06' that was long rim to shoulder it one of the 308s is like that the 358 might work but her think a 338 FC would be closer .

What happens to the 308 shoulder that does not touch the die? The hole in the 358 die for the neck of the case will not pushed back the 308 shoulder. You would then have a case with two shoulders.
