For those who live in the People's Republic of New Yawk, I thought you might find this good new interesting. This post is not meant to open up a political discussion. It is purely news being posted for those who might have an interest. I just received this from one of the officers in our club.

Saying it isn't political doesn't mean it's not political.

:sigh:

I'll keep an eye on this, I have little faith in where this will lead.

I understand, Rick. I truly am not trying to start something. I thought this was good news and should be shared with those it affects as well as those that like to keep abreast of the gun laws. You should lock the thread if you are concerned. It was intended as an announcement and not to start a conversation.

I understand that, that's why it wasn't deleted. However, experience tells me where this will quickly go. Don't be surprised if/when it disappears.

if I am reading this correctly, this is regarding NY CCW laws. I also recently saw an injunction on the pistol brace 'law' as well. And, in the news today is the current push to classify anyone who sells a firearm as a dealer/requires an FFL (somewhat generous summation, but...). Same here/no intent to be political. But it does look like the 2A stuff is at least holding its legs for now, however tenuous it may be...

OK, so to extract this from the political arena (which is squarely where it is right now, sorry) here is the raw material:

Yes, it is 261 pages long but to avoid the influence of some intermediary it is absolutely necessary to go directly to the source.

This is NOT a final decision. This is just one step in the case involving an injunction during litigation.

This is neither a win nor a loss for either side. Only a ruling on a temporary injunction that occurred within a larger case.

I recommend this thread be closed and we can all read the FINAL decision of the court when that FINAL decision is reached.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
Those concerned in NYS would do well to put some $$$ towards the defense of our freedoms. 'Nuff said.
