We are on our way from Omaha to Iowa City for our daughters graduation from U of Iowa and to move her to her new town for a new job. Along I80 Brownells has been teasing me with a "coming soon" sign for a new warehouse/retail store. Well boys, it is open!

They have over 1000 guns on hand. I looked at a new Marlin 336 in 35 Remington. Nice wood. I wasn't able to see how the action felt. Price was 650 if I recall correctly. No need, no money, so it stayed there.
They have a bank of computers so you can search their website and place an order while you wait. I was helped by a very friendly employee. I was looking at rubber handgun grips for the 624 and was able to select a couple and chose the one I liked best. Took about 5-10 minutes for my stuff to come out. They have large monitors where they show your first name and last initial so you know when your order is out. I also bought an oversize first pin stop for my 1911. I want to remove some extractor clocking to get my brass to eject more consistently.

Guys, this is a candy store with 70,000 different flavors a of candy on hand for order. This kid will be going back.

I couldn't even think about going in the store, that
would be like an alcoholic walking into a liquor store.

Wait a minute......she graduated already? Damn, where have I been! And a job too? It's not even the middle of May yet. Impressive, give her my congratulations.

I see that "heheheheh" look on your face, I know you're thinking about that tuition money you won't be shelling out this fall....

home repair and Dr. Bills.

I'd get in there and forget something and have to go back.
something silly like a screw for a grip or a barrel.

Cool.

I have seen the signs on the interstate, neat to see it finished.

Money pit.

The smart young lady got an engineering degree, and having one of those
is pretty much a guaranteed job in almost any economy.
