For the life of me I cannot remember who made it, but I use to have a two-rifle rack mounted to the cab roof of a 1967 Ford pickup. The rack held two hunting rifles in a pair of "U" shaped brackets (2 sets) with a Velcro strap for each rifle about where the rifles floorplate was. One rifle was loaded/removed to the front and one twords the back of the cab. Something like the old fashion rear window rifle racks but suspended from the pickups roof. Couldn't use the behind the seat setup as that's where one of the fuel tanks was. It was a bit of a pain to load the rack, but it was very secure once they were in it. Also muzzle control could be a real issue just like the old window racks if anyone was on auto pilot at o dark thirty when getting the rifle from truck.
