HELPING TO HOLD.
I saw advertised in a foreign shooting journal the Gibb head rest, and I thought ARMS AND THE MAN readers would -be interested in it. The drawing shows it very clearly. You see, it is a soft rubber pad against ‘which the man leans his forehead while aiming. Interesting, isn't it?

A solid, consistent cheek weld does the same thing. Look at the groups LR shooter fire at 1000 yards from prone with a sling.

My take is that if it was truly successful we would see them in use today?

Wouldn't that smack you in the forehead under recoil? Might use it on a .22 RF but nothing much larger.
