Powder score of the year!

My brother and I decided to go across town and look at a Bi Mart store to see what they had in stock. Kind of a tucked away store a lot of people forget about. For one, I’ve never seen eight pound jugs at any Bi Mart. We walk in and see two eight pounders on the shelf of W296. Apparently someone special ordered them then never picked them up. I have no idea how long they have been sitting there or who decided to mark the price down but we happily paid the asking price of $119.99 per jug.

0-6 too.... [and i got a little bit of data for the 30-30]
AA-1680 shot better,, mostly cause i think it had a bit more case fill. [22grs]

i truly think a flooofifier would have settled the 110 down even more... but i kind of moved on and never got back to it.

Time to invest deeply in jacketed magnum revolver bullets........or M1 Carbines & j-words.
I shoot 296 in 357 and 44 Mag with plain base bullets.
I have for years.
No Issues.
I have used it in the M1 carbine with gas checked bullets.

I have a bunch of GC'd 158gr bullets all lined up for loading 357mag, I have 3 vintage 1lb steel cans of W296 to use, from a recent gunshow deal. IIRC, 16gr was the charge?

15 grains of 296/H110 have always been my go-to load in the 357 with 158Gr GC or plain based bullets.
I use magnum primers.

Switching from standard to magnum primers in the 357 with H-110 will cut your 200 meter groups in half.
