Prayers for Tommy and Blaine

He's been at Fort Bliss for the past month, but my oldest boy, Tom is now safely in Kuwait. Another boy, Blaine, is the son of a good friend of mine and was one of my Cadets for three years and in the same unit of the KSARNG. That's a good bunch of Americans and I'd ask everybody for prayers for their safety and well-being while they're potentially in harm's way.

IMO we patriots don't spend enough time thanking those in uniform. I know when I was in uniform it was always great when I was recognized for serving our country. (1965-1969). Being a Hospital Corpsman (USN) turing those times was a bit dicey but I met some of the most fantastic people and I wouldn't give that up, ever.
Prayers up for the boys (men) Rich. Thanks for posting.

My younger son is a corpsman in the Navy as well, he just got back from a little tour around the Pacific on board the USNS Mercy. I supposed that situation couldhave turned hot at anytime too, but for the most part, he had a good time while providing a lot of medical care to folks who wouldn't have had it otherwise. He related to me how they saved a woman's life who needed heart surgery who'd have died had that ship not been there.

It's one thing to go into harm's way, never seemed like that big a deal when it was me, it's different when it's your kid.

Might be with the guys my kid just had training for at Bliss (radar stuff). Will def keep them on the list.

And YES, it is DEF different/difficult turning it over to your kid. Mine was an ABN Combat Medic/173rd/82nd/10 mo in Iraq. Think I got 10-15 yrs older in that 5 yr span.
