If I made a list of the rockers I've seen ......... Well it'd be something between weird and I'd like to see an ID . I didn't see Elvis but I did see Ricky Nelson , John Sebastian, Jan and Dean , the Bellamy Brothers and Evanescence. Eclectic at best .

Never seen the Rolling Stones, but I did see Willie six or eight years ago, he was pretty impressive for an 80+ year old pot head. He wasn't doing back flips or anything but was on his feet moving around the stafe for a couple of hours, no breaks. Lots of energy for a dude his age.
Willie's Mom lived just outside of town and he would come visit several times a year. Since he was off drugs, had a knock out wife and his own private jet, he would fly into the airport and parked at the fire station I worked at. Great down to earth guy, BS with the guys and leave us all the left over snacks from the plane trip. Then the limo would come and pick him up. He stayed over 24 hours, so I never got to see him leave.

The only one of any of those that I have seen is Elvis. Many in those lists I haven't even heard of.

Elvis was just before my time. Died, I believe when I was 4. Wish he had stayed around a couple more years. I would have liked to go see him.

i was fine with seeing him go.

i'm not even gonna try a short list of all the groups and single artists i've seen.
I had a thing going where i seen stuff like Def Leppard 3 nights in a row and made like 25$ each night.. that Gig run for a decade.

We ran around with a woman who worked for Preston Ticket Agency in Dallas, Texas.
She had access to tickets the moment they went on sale.
There was a group of about 10 of us that saw every band in the 70s, that played anywhere in the Dallas area, center stage, third row.
We paid retail price for the tickets.
She just had first shot at them.

Not much chance of that for me . I don't think there's going to be a class or 1980 anything run for anything any more lofty than dog catcher and the one that did make dog catcher is up for retirement next year. 59.5 on PERS .

California's Central Coast Amid The Insanity
My high school class has been running the country since Billy Jeff made the big time and "true terror" is not descriptive enough. I waited nightly for Janet Reno's knock on my door, ol' Barry to launch a Hellfire at my house, Dubya's warrantless searches, and now it's mumbling 'n stumbling Joe's radicalized string pullers.

Serious? Facetious? Reality? You decide . . .

Met quite a few celebrities; not too many singers, don't remember any "rockers". Was Pat Boone's body guard for a couple of weeks while he was doing a gig in Ventura, CA. Was Marianne Gordon's (Kenny Rogers' wife) body guard for several months. She was very pleasant.

Most of the celebs I met were polite and pleasant. Even Larry Hagman was okay as long as you didn't smoke anywhere near him.
Can't say Sylvester Stallone or Julia Roberts were easy to be around.
