image.jpeg Hit the range today and took the 788 out. This is its first cast loads ever. I was shooting air cooled WW with the NOE 30 Hunter that weigh about 190gr. This is a plain base bullet. Sized to .311" and lubed with BAC then rolled in BLL I loaded them over 10.5gr of Redot. Not sure how fast they are going but I don't think I need to look any further. 5 shots at 100 yards.

May I suggest 10 more rounds then check the bore...I am curious..

Is 311 what you normally size the bullets for in that rifle...

I have been thinking that an extra 1 tho..is good for PB accuracy....so much to try and so little time...

I've got the Hunter.
G/C and plain base.

You can bet I'll be trying that load !

I am working my way up from 7.3 grs of Universal and a PB 311041 in my win 54 30-30...
I am suprissed that you got such good consistency with the RD at that load
...I tried 8 grains in the 08 but I guess I was way too low...;);););)

12.7 in the 06 shoots like that with gc'ed bullets..

Going to try and duplicate your velocity in the 08 an 06 and see what I get...i'll be watching for leading...there SHOULDN'T BE ANY ...but who knows...

Again impressive shooting....now as my range buddies say " let's see you do that again"...;);)

image.jpeg Just hit up my LGS and look what followed me home! Set on Redot for a good long time now! I was down to 1 1/2 pounds.

Your post is right on time Waco. I was going to start playing with unique and my 311299 in my .308. I'll try the red dot too while i'm at it.

Nice shooting btw, and should be a fun load.
