I am currently jonesin' for a Remington Model 14 1/2. And while I'm dreaming I'd opt for a .38-40.
There was one here at my shoot a little over a week ago, with Brit proof marks. Some kind of WWI purchase by Great Britain, .44-40. Good shooter.IF I could find an even HALF WAY reasonable 14 1/2 in 44-40, I would own it! But so far, they go North of $1500!
