image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg This is the SRH that I recently picked up. Brad's testing has me wanting to do some testing with this one. Set this up for deer hunting this coming season. Second outing with this gun. Target shown has 26 shots fired from rest at 75 yards. For me the Houge grip is a little thin and when I have a good grip I end up with way more finger on the trigger than I prefer. I'm thinking I am pushing shots left although I did not do any adjusting of the scope. Bullet was the NOE 432-640 cast of 50/50 + 2% tin. Gas checks installed, bullets sized 43075 for the 431 throats. Heat treated at 425 for 1 hour then quenched. BHN measuring 19-20 on my cabine tree. Lubed with SL-71B. After firing 60 rounds the barrel looks good. Really liked the looks in the first couple of inches from the forcing cone. Ian helped me with this lube.(Thanks!)

I agree on the Monogrip being a bit thin.
What powder and charge?

Mine is just a RedHawk. Not a Super. I got some Pachmayr grips and they are pretty wide. almost too much for me but the thin factory wood grips had to go.
Nice shooting Gman!

One other thing I meant to mention was how clean the outside of my revolver was after shooting. I've used a lot of different lubes and this one has to be the best for not leaving a heavy residue all over.

The SL-68 series is the same kind of clean, one of the first things I noticed about it. You won't see much of a lube star on your rifles, either. The more beeswax the lube has, the greasier it becomes.
