I worked today. Got home and started putting together a new bandsaw. They installed the damn pulleys already so now I need to go and get a pulley puller.
Should be a huge improvement over the reciprocating saw.

Hhmmm . . . Bandsaw, pully puller, remove pulley's. Seems I'm missing something, I've installed a few bands on them and didn't need to pull any pulley's.

He pulleys are already installed, quite firmly, with the belt cover off. Can’t get bottom portion of belt housing over the shaft with pulley in place.
I can use the saw as is but the I have an exposed pulley/belt system.

So your not installing the saw blade then? I can't see it of course but something seems amiss. Shouldn't need a puller to remove pulley's for the cover or the blade.

Pulleys go on shafts, one on the motor the other to drive the wheels for the band. There is a cover for the belt that goes between pulleys. The base for that cover needs to be under the pulleys but pulleys were installed in factory. Instructions show pulleys arriving separate.
Band is already installed. Saw would run right now but I don’t like exposed pulleys and belts.

4x6” saw. Will cut anything I a need to cut.
Came with a 14 TPI blade. I will be ordering a better blade soon as I am sure the current Chinesium one will not last for long.

Sept. 10, 2021 Steve left us. You are missed.
I got a new to me Redhawk, 44Mag for Christmas. Had to buy it myself though.

Two and a half year old grandson hi-fiving everyone for working hard on potty-training — no photos ! :)

As much as I love having all the kids and grandkids here, grampaw needs some “quiet time” in the shop!

that 38-44 looks new to anyone.
nice little revolver there.

Heyy Brad.
if you had a sheet metal brake, tig welder, and a wheel you could just build a cover for the pulleys and not have to take them off.
just throwing that out there.

I could also end up needing a proctologist to retrieve the saw based on the face my wife made when I showed her your comment.

We are gonna need pictures of this saw. If he has to pull the pulley's to put the cover on how will he then put the pulley's back on with the cover on?

:headscratch:

Because the cover is a housing with a bottom and top with a hinge. Remove pulleys, place over shafts, attach with screw, replace pulleys, add belt, close lid.

It is a Grizzly G0622

Ah . . . A cover with a hinge. You didn't say that, you made it sound like a bolt on cover over the pulley's.

With instructions showing pulleys not installed, but yours are, it's sounding like like there's a possibility that you got a demo or floor model. Could also be that you just got a unit that was partially assembled for owner's or user's manual pics.

If a puller is required, I'm sure you can fabricate it in your shop. If owner's manual shows pulleys off, shouldn't be an issue to install them.

Throat dimension?

Like Rick, would love to see a pic or two.

Yep and since your now into sheet metal work you'll also need a good spot welder.
