L Ross,
I've tried watering & compacting the driveway down prior to the snow storm, to encapsulate all the dirt and gravel into one mass of frozen schmegma,.,,,, to the point, that not even a D-9 caterpillar could cheese grate a 64th of an inch slice of compaction off the surface from four inch minus gravel.
Then.......the day of recognition cycles It's ugly head,.......it doesn't freeze, its a wet snow,... and it's so muddy you get stuck. !!!
Every thing else is personal. Kinda.

Some of the wife's meds are now currently unattainable. With spring coming I am worried for her breathing issues.
Every one of my kids grades dropped a grade this 9 weeks. And he failed English and history. Puting him in position, that if he does not pick things up, he will get held back a year. Then kicked out of trade school, back to regular high school. Tried to warn him he was stretching things a bit thin.
Plus dog got into some cookies and is having a seizure.
Found all this out 5 minutes before time to leave for work. First day of my 4- 12's week.
So dump this all on me then send me off before it can process.
Geez.
KInd thoughts and prayers bud, as always!

Rough day here.

Dr visit for wife was struggle. She can no longer walk. She can not step up to allow me to load her into jeep. I got her in but tweaked my back doing so. We have waited three months I wasn't gonna miss this appointment.
Got a diagnosis. I was as prepared as I could. I dont think she understands. It is a rapidly progressive palsy. Terminal with in ten years. As in no one has lasted ten yrs from diagnosis ten years.

Then I had therapy which always leaves me ache sore & tired. Got her to bed and settled. Watched tv with her till she dozed off.

Im just settling down, but somehow I am not sleepy tonight.
Tell those people you love, that you love them. We aint here forever.

My thoughts and prayers will be with you both! Seems to be a tough time of the year.

On the roller coaster here. Up and down and last night was a real downer. But we have to keep plugging along.

Prayers said for all you. Makes my challenges, aches, and pains seem phht by comparison. My heart goes out to each of you, I can't do much more on my own to help. May Heavenly Father strengthen and provide comfort to each of you and your loved ones. All of us are His children, who He loves beyond measure.

Hang in there bud. Seams like when I am feeling bad, prayer always works.
Sometimes I think praying and caring for others helps us connect with God's grace in our own life.
Sometimes it gets hard to see the blessings we do get, for the troubles we are going thru, but they are there..
God loves us, he is here to help us thru this life. He will be waiting on the other side with open arms. If we have accepted him.
Sometimes I would just like to jump in my car and just drive over and be with some of you fellows. If nothing else then just to sit and have a beverage, and pass some time, furring your struggles.
May God Bless you. And may you have the foresight to see the blessings.

California's Central Coast Amid The Insanity
Sometime between the afternoon of February 18 and 0900 this morning our 2001 Coachmen Class C motorhome's catalytic converter was stolen.

Called the airport RV storage lady to report the theft. Called the airport police department and filed a report. Called AAA Insurance and filed a claim ($100 deductible). The auto repair guys are searching for a new converter, but they don't have a lift to accommodate the motorhome, so looks like I'll have to call round to find a shop that has one. AAA has a special stolen converter team that's supposed to contact us and make arrangements to confirm its been stolen, and proceed from there.

Forty-road-miles away is a state prison, and its Norteno (add tilde over the lower case "n") and Surino (add tilde as before) inmates run California's organized crime and the gangsters who do the dirty work, and are probably in cahoots with several Mexican cartels. (Sonny Barger, Al Capone, Joe Kennedy, Whitey Bulger, etc. were mere pikers.)

Ironically, just prior to discovering the converter's theft I was reading about the local fire hydrant brass caps that are being stolen.

Crime does pay . . .

About 8 years ago, had our 5th wheel broken into and stripped of anything and everything worth even a few cents. The first people to look at are the storage facility employees and their friends and relatives. Not at all uncommon for thefts from storage facilities to be inside jobs.

In December and January there were two cases of the facility's Cyclone fence being cut and probably entry made. All the tenants were alerted and we found everything to be okay. This time there were no reports of fence cutting, which leads me to believe that the bad guys knew the electric gate entry code.

Also, most RV storage lots have video surveillance and sometimes even lower level employees can access the recordings and edit or delete incriminating video.

I can speak with authority when I say that these types of thefts are primarily due to the influx of illegals from Latin America. Stealing man hole covers, any metal of value, brass, copper, etc., spare tires, car batteries and such is business as usual in many of not most Latin American countries. I know because I spent 90% of my career life in those countries.
