Did some more bee kilin today. Church this morning. Got canceled tonight. Realized I haven't ate since 1200 yesterday. So took a glucose tab to stabilize my sugars and headed up to the big town. For my diet cheat day.
Taking the wife to Cracker Barrel.
Then visiting our daughters and my mom and dads graves.

Today? Sneezing, coughing etc. Prepped some .40-70 brass, set up the Lyman 55 to drop 63 grains of KIK 2 fg and sprinkle in the next 1/2 grain to 63.5. Compress to leave .595" above the wad and seat a 410 grain Saeco #470 bullet.
I'll anneal them the next time I reload them.

Got back yesterday from a week at the cabin with a couple of old friends. Unloaded the truck this morning and then started to catch up on the sites I frequent on the computer. CW---when I got here I found the sad news of your wife's passing, and like many others I don't know what to say except you have our condolences and prayers. While we never forget a loved one, the pain of their passing does dull over time. God bless you my friend!

mostly put the garage back together after last nights adventure with Jax stubbornly refusing to come in until i removed everything under the two benches in there so she could see for herself that the thing making the weird noise was just a beetle scratching on a piece of plastic trying to climb up the side of it instead of going around to get wherever it was going.
the whole thing finally come to a complete halt when she finally figured out i was definitely not going to move that 5 gallon bucket full of 358664's no matter how hard i tried, or how hard she insisted.

Was gifted most of 50 45 Colt jacketed hand loads last night from a neighbor.

Old Hornady 250 hp jacketed and labeled as 9.2 & 10.0g Unique.

Pulled them all, because... The person was a good accurate reloader. All charges was within .1 on my Hornady Digital. RCBS collet didn't harm bullets at all.
I loaded the LEE 4 holer on the platform.

I like this press for my pistol calibers. Then sized and primed missing 50 pcs for an entire box of 50.

I have a new 45 Mold coming anyway so Ill use for them.

Today I have a mid day Dr for the knee. Gonna impress a bit upon him as I have called four times and never got a return call. (His staff is BAD!) I like Dr and feel he is good but his staff is not. I know he is crazy busy and the girls take brunt of everything. But they choose to be there and patients esp ones
Like myself that cause no strife shouldn't suffer.

Then 15:00 I have therapy for knee.

Home ta make dinner and find something to occupy my mind... till 19:00 when I have a fall Bullseye pistol match!! I have not been to a match since before my wife got ill. So 16-18 months ago! Its an away match, I have been shooting this league for 35 years (would have been 37) So I have known many of these people longer then I knew my wife! Most wont know so its gonna be hard telling a few closer to me.
I wanted to practice over weekend but didn't have a chance so its gonna be interesting jumping back on this "bicycle".
Wish me luck!

I’m driving Karyn to a long term sub job at her old school. Actually it’s a 35 day job but called long term by the district because it’s more than 20 days. Also pay is about double of the one or two day jobs.
I drive Karyn in and pick her up which helps keep her fatigue to a minimum.
At 1:30 I’m going to a pain Doctor to see if anything can be done about my sciatica pain. It’s been recommended that I get a special shot in the lower spine to help this, which is done in a MRI machine. I think it’s the same as when I had my neck done in the MRI. Going to see what they recommend.
In driving down to Wasilla last week, 600 plus miles it was difficult to say the least. Mainly my right leg but also having trouble with my left. Actually over shadowed my left rotator cuff. Boy, complaining is getting to be a habit. Hope this doctor can help. Other wise I guess I will need to buck up and figure out how to live with it.
Getting old and being a high mileage unit isn’t for the faint of heart.

Loaded up my remaining 40sw cases with 165gr and 5.5 WSF. Guess I'll do remaining 9mm next. Getting ready for Fl trip, her BIL is in bad shape, another bad bleeding UTI. His kid got them a wheelchair capable old van - he still hasn't gotten the new fake legs yet. 2 day drive will wear me out.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
I assume this is to enhance the conversations here.

Naw man, I'm moving into the big time POLITICAL world!!!

Actually, I'm scrambling at a snails pace (knees is still all messed up) trying to get things going here. Really irks me that this knee thing popped up right when I was finally getting productive again. Pretty irritated at the whole mess.

Still pulling 38 Specials for the lead and cases, off and on. Finaly replaced a couple gargae shelves with real wood (vs the pressed sawdust crap. Only 3 more to go! And cleaned up the garage a bit. Still a ways to go there as well. AND found a trash bag full of paper I need to shred. So much for stuffing brass this weekend, unless tomo goes better.

Craigslist is kind of dying, in my area. Facebook marketplace is taking over. I know a lot of us older guys are adverse to facebook, but if you don't have a account, I recommend it, for the heavy items. Keep the wording simple, avoiding guns, ammo, and 2A stuff. I did a search and right now there is 5 to 10 listings for presses in my area, like this one. Notice the wording.

There is even a Tru-Line JR currently listed.

Another pacific listed today.

Yesterday and Today...My farmer friend decided to take down a huge Ash tree (still alive), the wife wants to plant magnolia trees in that spot in the yard. I didn't think Magnolia trees would survive a MN winter?
Anyway, I'm cutting the logs for firewood, the farmer and his wife are dealing with the brush (skidsteer and UTV), and their three millennial boys are loading my trailer with the cut logs. They are loading my trailer like they are playing Tetris, now that's all fine, but it's gonna be a pain to unload.

Boat is out of the water and winterized. Step 1 of the closing up camp process is done. Step 2 is yank the lift battery out of the boat lift, take down the solar panel and then start bringing in the dock sections, all 17 of them.

My every-day-carry Glock 27's practice loads consist of a 180-grain cast bullet and 5.5-grains of WSF. Six-grains and a 230-grain cast bullet is a spiffy .45 ACP load.

Went to see Route 60, a trip through Israel. Good show, never been there so the countryside was interesting - real hills - not just a 'rise'.

looked like rain, but the weatherhuahua wasn't going off so i ignored it and squirted water all over the back yard.
then i half heartedly drained the lines, enough so they won't freeze and burst anyway.

We went to the marina to clean up the pontoon for it's long winter nap, yesterday afternoon. Cindy used bleach to remove the mildew from the vinyl seats and I swabbed the vinyl coved floor. Left it uncovered to dry. Probably, go there this afternoon to gas it up, after adding gas stabilizer, and install the cover. After Labor Day, the marina office is closed on Monday's, so there is no gasoline available, yesterday. They did away with 24 hour gas, recently. Citing it wasn't fair to the other marinas. Tracy Ferry marina was the only one that had 24 hour gasoline.

We will still get plenty of nice days, for fishing, for a couple more months. However, this Saturday, archery season opens and I'd rather concentrate on that.
