Al, up here in the Great White North the problem was usually the opposite- too cold. The normal scenario back when I was wrenching was that a guy would come in saying his wife was complaining the car was too cold and the defrost wasn't working right. Yeah, cap, thermostat, check fluid level, maybe even flush the heater core. But the real win came from a bottle of Windex and a roll of paper towels! Seems like every singe car I had that complaint with had about 1/4" of well aged cigarette smoke combined with dust and dirt on the interior glass. Clean the windows and suddenly honey bunch was real happy!
The Big Brown Truck delivered the big brown box of stupidly expensive parts that will wear appreciably in 50 acres of hay- and that's IF I can avoid the various spots where some ledge sticks itself outta my so called meadows. Found a diagram of how to weld up a bender for a haybine stub guards that I'd copied off a few years back. Need to get Gordy going on that if I have the steel required.
Both the kids, Gordy and Princess Hateful Hormones, were graduated from their Vocational Classes yesterday and both won awards! Her Majesty even got Student of the Month. Miserable, but she knows her stuff! Gord came home with 3 chainsaws of one of the instructors to fix, (Wait, you are the auto mechanics instructor and you can't fix your own chainsaws???!!!!
), and was given a Stihl 041 in nice shape for his trouble. Old saw, true, but a good one.
Tonite is the free rabies clinic in town which another board member and myself sponsor. I checked and we have 8 dogs due for shots! Mind you, I have to be there to direct traffic since it's a drive thru event, (don't get me going on THAT!), so SWMBO is going to have to transport our hounds. Hopefully she and Her Majesty can keep from killing each other and get it done with Gords help.
Checked the pasture this AM and found twin goat kids- jet black! No clue how that happened since the doe is brown and white and the buck was pure white, but they're healthy, so I'm good with it.
