Solved my problem

Took care of the size matters problem, bought me a bag of .445SM brass. That idea of making cases from 30/40 does work, after a fashion, but you run into a wall thickness problem. The guide tip on the case trimmer won't even enter the case, what the heck did I cut them to length with?? Wish I hadn't sacrificed those cases 'cause I also shoot 30/40AI. Anyway, have any of you worked with cast in the .445, specifically 250 and 265gr GC? I have some info using H335, kinda wanting to try 2400 but finding little info. Suppose I could start with heavier 44Mag loads and maybe sneak up. Not overly concerned with velocity, gonna look for accuracy. GW

Edit: meant H110, but don't have much. Got plenty A1680 and W680.

1680 reduces pretty well. [I backed off a full 10% and worked around from there]
I wouldn't back off the 110 but you already knew that.
the 445 is one place I use a gas check when going hard and running a handful of 1680, the reduced loads may not have needed them but the barrel the revolver usually wears is ported and I wasn't gonna mess with those slots and threads.

I have used 2400.
I started at 19grs. and moved forward, 20 felt pretty good to me and was burning clean enough.
I'm sure there is another few [whole bunch] grains of room there, but I was happy with the 250 and what I was getting.
I kind of quit messing about with cast in the 445 when I got a 44 cal swage set-up and started using those instead.
