Stand or sit while casting

I stand, I built the bench to be proper height for a 6'2" dude, so everything is at proper eye level. I add a box fan out the main door to remove fumes. Don't mind the mess, I was building and organizing in these pictures. 20230116_154437.jpg20230116_154505.jpg20230116_154526.jpg

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
Barstools- Some of the greatest shooters and most experienced reloaders I've ever talked to have been sitting on a barstool. I wonder if they'd be so good if the barstool was in front of a reloading bench and not in front of a set of beer taps and shot glasses? ;)

Depends upon the specific task, all of the above, ladel, pour- stand or padded stool, bottom pour- sit. Loading, depends upon my mood.

I use a 24" barstool. My bench is designed for standing or using a 24" stool. I cast using a picnic table with bottom pour pot's spout raised to eye level. Using an old kitchen chair.

I have a dedicated bench for casting that is sitting height.
For reloading I do what I feel like that day.
I have two benches for that; one standing height and the other at sitting height.
Have a Rock Dock on both of them so I can put the press on whichever bench I prefer that day.

Stand so when casting in bare feet and underwear I can jump out of the way LOL.
Yeah I push my luck, how do you make this purple?

Sit 90% of the time, required by back surgery. Standing brings lower back pain in fifteen or twenty minutes. I stand up and move around every forty-five minutes or so to stimulate circulation. This allows refilling the pot and the pot coming back up to temperature.
