Sounds like a nice load. It would certainly not be in the best interest of a deer. I shot my last deer with a 300 gr flat nose from a 45 Colt Marlin 1894CB.

It also sounds like a load that would be reasonably pleasant in a rifle.

Make if of dang near pure lead, put a cup point on it, and powder coat it so it will shoot straight and you'll have a winner.
