Some of you might remember me buying a Super 14 barrel in 30-30 Win. with no throat in it. I couldn't get any of my cast bullets to chamber properly. I sent the barrel to my gunsmith in Golden , CO for throating. He requested me send about 8 or so " Dummy Rounds " with no powder , primer, etc. He said, " You seat your cast bullets to the OAL that you want and my job will be to throat the barrel to accept them ". He did his job well !
I'm super pleased with his work done on my barrel.
I took the T/C Super 14 to the range today.
I'M A HAPPY CAMPER ! !
I only used one propellant, B'Eye, 7.2 grs., I guess it could do worse...............
My friend Nick had never fired a T/C Contender, I asked him to shoot 5 rounds at 50 yards. I thought that he did pretty well.
Here is my 5 rounds at 50 yards :
Time for me to go to 100 yards :
Now I guess that I can begin doing some serious target work with the pistol and go through all my .30 cal. moulds and propellants and sizer dies, etc.
Shouldn't take much longer than about 23 years.
