Two barrels same company

These are a couple of pic from 2 barrels. The first 2 are the replacement barrel. The 2nd set are the original barrel. It shot very bad. It was a copper mine after about 75 rounds. I think it was oversized as well. I tried to shoot some fire lapping bullets to try to get rid of that ledge in the throat. I did not have enough powder in the first 2 bullets I shot. They stuck about 1/4 of the way down. And they were jacketed bullets. I was able to just push them right through. So I switched over to a couple of powder coated bullets and shot 10 of those. The accuracy still was terrible so they sent me a new barrel.

Ballistic Advantage. This is their SPR 18" SS black nitride match barrel. I seen 3 other barrels from other people that had this same gouge in the throat. They must have got a new reamer as this looks good.

Well, the bore is too big, the reamer pilot too small for it, and the chamber is cut crooked. I've seen better from $70 Midway barrels. Glad they took care of you.

That gouge went all the way around. Almost like they used a 6mmx223 reamer. I have not been able to shoot this one yet. It is nice out today but I am smoking a pork butt.
