Venison wild rice hot dish

My wife made a big pot of venison wild rice hot dish yesterday. We've been eating it the last couple nights. Man is that stuff good. That little buck I got last season has been exceptional table fare. The wife knows I love this dish, and usually makes it when she wants a favor. I'm wondering what she has in mind. She retired from Wal-Mart 11 days ago. She's got a whole building full of "projects" I usually have to fix, before she can sell them. I'm guessing it's a big fix this time. LOL Gotta love them!

Uh oh. A retired wife with lots of free time who is signaling she has projects for you?

Run, just run. Don't look back.

a month of fishing should cure her ofthose ideas.
she should have almost everything fixed when you get back.

I've got to be nice. I'm working on a project that could take 2-4 weeks depending on when/if I get the call. She and my son will be taking care of my dogs, so I need to build up some "credits".
Got a call from USD a couple days ago. They have a coyote "study" going that isn't going so good. The students have been trying to catch coyotes for almost two months now and haven't caught one yet!!! We're discussing wages at this point, and of course they only have so much money. They have to have coyotes, alive, to do the study, and collar them for release. Whom ever set the study up didn't have a clue about equipment, or coyotes, or they wouldn't have started it when the conditions were so poor and females will be in den. They made a decent offer for June trapping, per head, but not for April, roads thawing out, females denning, and farmers wanting to get into the fields. Most farmers there want them dead, not caught and released, so that plays into the scheme of things also, they have calves on the ground now, and all carrying rifles. A bouncing coyote is just an invitation to them. Been there, done that. Trapped 8 months for Delta Waterfowl just East of there. The roads fall apart this time of year and coon and skunk numbers are high, badgers will be cleaning dens out within the next two weeks. I'd love to be there when the Sprigs come back, but can't go for nothing. We'll see.
