After a discussion a week ago, I decided I needed a paper Vihtavuori manual. I found a 1st Edition hard cover and it arrived yesterday. There is a lot of Metric caliber data, which I guess, is to be expected...and once in a while a need for it arises, so that's good. I'm attaching a couple photos of pages I found interesting. I included the table of contents because I was surprised at the amount of "theory" they included, but only 10 pages of basic reloading instructions.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
Interesting you should choose the 6.5x57 page. That cartridge is almost the same as the 6.5x257 Roberts, which I happen to own one example of. I also have old manuals that show the 6.5x257R data. Shoulder angle and neck length differ slightly, but that's about it. It always struck me as a odd when you had two cases so similar and yet you'd see widely different data for them.

Well, it's because I also have a 6.5x257R (a customized T-38). When I first started to work up a load, I looked to cast data for 257Rob and 6.5x55 in the Lyman castbullet handbook, and then interpolated the hell out of them, LOL.

I have heard of 6.5x57, seeing it listed at CH4D website and such, but never looked up history or where it's from, so I found that page interesting. This manual also has data for 6.5x57r (rimmed).
