Waht did you cast today?

To cold and windy to cast anything. Can't keep the fire burning. Someday I'll get me an electric pot..

They're nice. Even nicer with a fume hood, 6" steel flue going up through the attic, and a remote, in-line range hood exhaust fan on the other end where you don't hear it so much. Crack a window somewhere in the house and enjoy casting no matter the outside conditions.

Did these this afternoon with the Lee 20-lb pot.

mix that C-red 2 to 1 with 50-50 Alox and you have a pretty good lube.
gotta burn one into the berm, but after that you got all day long.

John is working on cold weather hunting loads, if he has to "burn one into the hillside" he most likely won't get or need the second shot.

John needs to powder coat or cook up some SL-71 lube that puts the first shot in the X-ring down to minus 20F, depending on if he wants to always clean his barrel and hunt with it clean, or never ever clean it.

box of Hornady's are like 25 bucks and will last most of a lifetime..... jus sayin.
Lot's of unopened boxes of J-words, under my reloading bench. Haven't used any in probably thirty years. I don't cast for anything under 30 caliber. Rarely, fire the 243W or the 270W, any more. Longest shot expected, might be 75 yards, here. Other than an occasional deer with a muzzleloader, most of deer are taken during archery season.

Nice. Looks great.

358156 hp

At large, whereabouts unknown.
I didn't cast, but I took inventory so I know what to cast next. I'm pretty good on 9mm, but need a large batch of 135 gr Ranch Dog, I also use them in 38 Spl. I need almost everything in 38/357. Most notably 356446, HB wadcutters, 358432 wadcutters and 180 LBT. I'll also do another batch of 358156HP, 359439, and 358429HP. These are all Ideal single cavity, so it's probably be the next three day weekend for this. I have a couple of MP HP moulds, but I'm shamefully stubborn about these things. 44s are good, 45 ACP are okay, but again I'm low on hollowpoints.

If you settled on a single 38/357 bullet it gets a bunch easier. Just sayin

What can I say, I am a man of few bullets. I tend towards a single load for a cartridge. All my 38/357 revolvers get fed the same diet.
